Summary:
I was absent today. I had to visit the dermatologist to have a mole cut off of my head. How apropos, right? I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the cells are mitosising correctly. In the meantime my students watched a video today about genetic disorders. The video is called “Miracle Cure? A Decade of the Human Genome” and it was produced by the BBC in 2010. In particular, the video focuses on alcoholism, cancer, and cystic fibrosis. But I like that it sheds light on the lives of those affected just as much as it focuses on the science of each disorder.
